Abstract

The aim of this PhD Thesis is to contribute to individualizing the management of patients treated with intramedullary nailing for tibial shaft fractures to improve patient care. We aimed to achieve this by gaining a more in-depth knowledge regarding the various complications and subsequent surgical procedures that can occur, and by gaining a better insight in patient specific risks.
